TANKS 4.08 installs to a folder called /program files/TANKS 4.0
The previous versions of TANKS installed to /program files/TANKS 4.0 (32 bit).  If you install TANKS 4.08 it will NOT overwrite earlier versions of the program installed on your PC.  Instead you will have two copies of the program and two copies of the databases.  

To prevent this, backup your tank data and client databases to another folder.  Uninstall the earlier version.  Reboot your PC and install version 4.08.  You can then copy your old databases to the new folder, or in TANKS, change the location of the databases using the file menu.

The TANKS program is the Environmental Protection Agency's model for
estimating volatile organic compound (VOC) and hazardous air pollutant
(HAP) emissions from organic liquids in storage tanks.

TANKS 4.0 on your computer, uninstall these versions before attempting
to reinstall the program.

TANKS 4.0 is a 32-bit program. 

     The following hardware and software are required for TANKS 4.0:

     (1)  Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 or later, or Microsoft
Windows 95 or Windows 98.
     (2)  486 or higher processor
     (3)  VGA or higher-resolution screen supported by Microsoft
Windows
     (4)  8 MB of RAM
     (5)  Mouse or other pointing device

      TANKS 4.0 requires about 15MB of free hard disk space. 
Additional hard disk space will be  required to accommodate large
databases or back-up databases.

To setup TANKS 4.0 on your personal computer, double-click or Run the
downloaded file.  A utility will guide you through the setup process.  Once
the program is installed on your computer, you may start the program by
selecting TANKS 4.0 by selecting Startup, Programs and TANKS
4.0. 

To create an icon on your desktop: locate the Tanks40.exe file
and then use your mouse to drag it to your desktop. This will
create a shortcut that you can use to quickly launch the TANKS 4.0 program.
